My Saturday freak out

Saturday evening we were scheduled to have a family picture made at 5 o'clock. At 4:15 my two year old was running in the house and slammed into the brick fireplace seat. There was blood everywhere. The fireplace, his face, his clothes everywhere. I was panicing. I screamed for my dd to get a towel so I could see how bad the damage was. We ended up in the emergency room getting his head glued. It was horrific. The doctors said he will be fine and just to watch him.

I just wanted to share.

It always seems to happen around when pictures are scheduled doesn't it? Hope he's feeling better soon!

Re: My Saturday freak out

Sorry that happened. That is bad timing too. Isn't that always how it is.

My 5 year old bashed his head into the crib when he was playing with his baby brother. (Not even anything sharp.) He had a blanket on his head and was playing "ghost." Anyway, he hit it so hard he split his skin on his eyebrow. It was yuck! Luckily, we didn't have plans. However, we ended up just taking him to my BIL's house. My BIL is a dr. He gave him a couple of stitches. (Glue wouldn't work on his.) At least we avoided the ER co-pay. But, of course, now every time we go visit his uncle, he says, "I came here to get my stitches, right?" (no pun intended with the smiley! )
