If you got OB checks towards the end, at what point did you start labor, or when did your water break?

I'm 3cm dilated and 70% effaced as of today. I am scheduled to be induced next Thursday for high risk and she mentioned she didn't think I'd make it to then. (As a side note, I've always felt I wouldn't make it into June) I just wonder how fast I will progress now?

Last Tuesday I was a 1 and pretty sure I was not effaced.

Oh, I know. Just wanted to see what others did. My DD1 I was about the same, but was induced for severe hypertension so I never had a conventional labor/birth : /

I didn't get checked much at the end, 1x at 37 weeks to be sure she was head down and then again at I think 40 and 41 weeks. At 37 weeks I was 3 cm and about 75% effaced, at 40 weeks I can't remember and at 41 weeks I was almost 5 cm and about 90 % effaced. I went into labor about 24 hours after being checked that time and had a 36 hour labor so I don't hold much stock in the progression before labor starts.

I think I was about a 2 and 50% effaced for about the last 3 wks w/ ds2. He came 2 days before his EDD. I got up to a 3 and 70% effaced w/ ds1 and my water broke 2 days before EDD, but I never started contracting and had to go in to the hossy for pit after almost 48 hrs.

The only time I have ever gotten checks was with DD1. I was 2cm at 37w, 3cm at 38w, and 4cm at 39w. I still had to be induced.

I was at 3cm dilated, 80% effaced, +3 station () and I went into labor 2 days later.

I was 2cm and 70 percent from 32-36 weeks last pregnancy. At 37 i was 3cm and 90percent. 38 weeks I was 4cm and stayed there until labor at 39 weeks.

So you just never know! I was on bedrest from 32-36 weeks. My water broke in the car on way to the hospital at 39 weeks. Was 5cm and almost 100 percent when we got there.

I am 35/36 weeks depending on the due date I go by and I was checked Monday. I am at 1cm, but still high and thick. This is #3 for me. Last time I delivered at 37 weeks I had been 3-4am for 2 weeks.

I was 1cm at 37 weeks, 2cm at 38 weeks. I have my 39 weeks appt tomorrow. Doc hasn't told me how effaced, but I know baby is very low. With DS I was 3cm for a few weeks and still needed pit to get things going.

I've known a few women who have been 4 or 5cm at 36 -37 weeks, and had their babies on or after the due date. You just never know!
