Re: experienced ELBEE mamas...we NEED your help!

So I've posted these before - so forgive me if you have seen them.

My Katie is between 17 -18 lbs - 14 months tomorrow.

She fits into a s/m, a medium, and a medium/long.

s/m

Medium SS - this is a bulkier fit on her

Medium FS -

The ML is just a higher rise on her.

We have not had good luck with Elbees. The quality is AMAZING but they are not nearly absorbent for my heavy wetter even during the day with a doubler I want to love them!

Re: experienced ELBEE mamas...we NEED your help!

Anyone have pics of the bB's on their lo?

No

Also how does the sizing run?

True to size, and DO NOT SIZE UP! I have a dozen m/l diapers that DD never even got to wear before she pl-ed. The S/M and Med will fit for a long time - they are supposed to be trim and cut almost like undies.

Do you need a doubler?

YES

Are these night time worthy?

No, unless they have zorb or you add a bunch of doublers.

How about the regular front snapping diapers...do they run true-to-size?

Yes, we love both the front and side snaps.

The ones I had were beautiful, but fit my son funny and he peed through them. Only diaper (out of 20+ kinds ) that's ever happened with and it happened more than once. Definitely needs a doubler for even average wetters.

Re: experienced ELBEE mamas...we NEED your help!

How many layers are they? Both kinds...I've wondered this before...is it just 2 layers of fleece or fleece/cotton velour? Is there a middle layer in there? And how many layers are the doublers?

I don't have any Elbees, I can't afford them even at coop (), but I do have other fitteds that are basically just a shell (they're a knit print outer, microfleece inner) with a snap in soaker that has I *think* 4 layers of bamboo fleece, which you then double over to adjust the size of. Anyway, they hold DD really well, those things hold a TON! But, if the Elbees are only the 2 layers of fleece in the body and then say 3 layers in the doublers, thats not much...and these are cotton too right? Supposedly bamboo holds more than cotton right? I don't know if thats true or not but that wouldn't help things if it is.

However, they look like they'd be awesome trim diapers for daytime and the craftswomanship is beautiful. I wish I could get some.

I wish more mamas have tried the Medium and Large bB's and could chime in about the sizing. Anybody?? I'm nervous to get them to small but than again I am nervous about the Larges being to big. Knowing that the FS's seem to run big I wonder if the bB's are just as big or if they fit much better because of the fold down top.

Just popping in to say, I think you need the regular version WITH a doubler for them to be at all good. We have mediums with internal soakers and additional doublers, and they work awesome, but we could probably use the super doublers, lol.

We don't vaccinate, we kept our sons intact, we use cloth diapers, we co-sleep, we extended RF, we breastfeed, but we watch too much tv and I totally dig plastic! Everyone has their issues, lol.

ok, those are adorable and I've been wanting to try them, but I think on the co op they're going something like $45 each with the conversion, right? Or something along those lines? And people are buying many of these..how can you all afford to spend hundreds of dollars on a few dipes? Just wondering..because I can't and am incredibly jealous!

the more that is ordered the higher the discount. there is alot of interest in this coop and so there could potentially be a 35% discount on each item.
