Getting ammonia out of hemp inserts?
So, a friend of mine is having issue with her Thirsties Hemp inserts having a strong ammonia issue. She thinks that for some reason you can't use bleach on hemp?! Is this true? Does anyone have any idea of how to get rid of ammonia in hemp?
TIA |

Re: Getting ammonia out of hemp inserts?
I have hemp doublers, and I occasionally use a little bleach...hasn't seemed to hurt mine. My best way to get rid of ammonia, though, is to add about a cup of white vinegar to the pre-rinse. I do it every time I wash, and the ammonia smell is totally gone when I'm done. HTH!
