washing with a stackable w/d

My son and I have moved into a townhome w/ a stackable washer/dryer. I've never used one before. Other than not washing as many diapers at once, how should I change my wash routine. Currently I wash every other day, with:
Cold wash no soap
hot wash with a teeny bit of Tide and an extra cold wash.
Typcially i wash 13-14 diapers.

I'm guessing I should wash every day? maybe about 6-7 diapers per load?
What about soap? How much do I use? currently I use Liquid tide with good results. We have "normal" city water (not hard or soft).

TIA!!!
Marty

Re: washing with a stackable w/d

is it a front loading stackable or the top loading washer stackable with the dryer above it? If it's front loading you need to use LESS soap than you would with a top loader. They use less water so no need to use so much soap, otherwise you'll have to run a couple extra rinses.

eta: also if it's a front loader they do better with more clothes in them than less. I generally wash in ours every 2-3 days... probably 20-30 diapers at a time.

Re: washing with a stackable w/d

I have a stackable w/d FL combo. Other than keeping in mind it's a FL, I can't of anything that I would do differently if it wasn't stacked.

ours is a stackable, but its top loading. i do a cold rinse, long wash on hot with a good amt of tide, and a cold rinse. when i was using my moms fl stackable, i did (i think) a short wash with nothing, a wash on hot with country save (didn't use as much because it was fling), then a cold rinse.

We have a stackable which has a top loading washer. Our routine is the following
Cold rinse
Long hot wash with cold rinse with 1/2 scoop of Planet powder
Short hot wash with cold rinse with Ecover

I have an apartment sized washing machine that rolls over to the sink. It's similar in size & function to a stackable washing machine. The main thing with mine is that it lacks extra cycles so I just have to wash the diapers twice, once with detergent & a second time with out, in place of rinse cycles. But I actually prefer it that way since it really gets all the detergent out & in turn ammonia & stink are non-issues here.
I wash with either liquid Tide or All Free with out problems.

I have a top loading stackable, and I wash every day or day and a half. Basically, a day's worth of diapers = a full load of laundry. I do cold rise, hot wash w/baking soda or a little detergent, cold rinse. The other thing I do occasionally (if I'm lazy or too busy) is wait to have 2 full days of diapers and then do 2 full washes, the first with just inserts, the second with just covers. I don't love doing laundry every day, but it's not too bad once you get a routine going

Re: washing with a stackable w/d

I have a top-loading stacked washer/dryer. I wash every other day because if I put any more than 24 diapers in, they don't get clean. Really, 20 diapers fills it to the top. I do a cold cycle with 1 scoop of wonder wash (same as Charlie's Soap), a hot cycle with 2 scoops of wonder wash, and a hot cycle with no soap to rinse. My machine does not have a rinse only option, it's a whole cycle or nothing. I can't wait to move to a house so I can have a proper, full-size washer.

P.S. I also wash every other day. I have a diaper pail that just happens to hold the same amount as my washing machine so that helps.
