is it too early to talk names?

i love hearing peoples baby names! we're thinking maybe samson for a boy, but i'm kind of iffy about that one. i was wondering though if anyone could think of any names that shorten down to luci? we're thinking possibly lucielle (not sure how we'd spell it), but i'm kind of on the fence because it sounds a little grandma-ish to me.

anyone else throwing names around?

Well. . .sometimes I go by Luci (yes, spelled with the i). You're welcome to "steal" my name if you want!

There's also Lucilla. Might be more, but you'd have to check a baby name book. btw all the Lucy names mean "light" which I think is very lovely.

We keep our names secret though, so I can't share!

I like Lucinda, heard it on the movie Ella Enchanted a few years ago and really liked it. Luci is a cute name too.

I haven't started my babynames list really, I have a few boy names I like but haven't yet started on the girl names.

Were very last minute people. Except for dd we named both our boys basically the week they were born we have a list but for some reason we never use the names on the list.

I told dh this weekend that we need to start seriously discussing names. Right now we have Violet for a girl but it's not set in stone. I also like Mia or Mya a lot. I have a few boy names I've thrown out there but dh didn't seem impressed. We always have problems agreeing on boy names, lol.

Re: is it too early to talk names?

Never too early lol.
I'm making a list. It's harder this time i think. I usually come up with a list, then DH eliminates most of them. I am usually left with a couple and we go into labor with them and pick once we see the baby. This time will be harder of course since we are not finding out the sex so I will need about 4 names this time.
I think all the ones I like this time will be rejected by DH so I have a lot of work to do. I can't spill yet though cause my list is a mess and I have no boys names lined up.

We have our girls name picked out, Pamela Maddox. She would go by Maddox or maddi. Pamela is my mil's name and she passed away in 2007. As for boys we don't have anything yet.

Re: is it too early to talk names?

Well I was thinking I would start looking at baby names yesterday, but after my spotting last night, I think I might wait until after my U/S in July. I'm nervous now!
I can't wait though, I LOVE picking out names!
