Bleeding mouth

So an hour ago, one of my girls starting whining. I figured she just wanted her pacifier. I went into the room and her mouth and sheet had blood all over.

I cleaned her up and the bed, figuring she had bit herself. She was smiley and went back to bed no prob.

30 min later she starts to cry and again blood all over.....i checked on her 15 min before that and there was nothing....

She also seemed warm this evening but its been a REALLY hot day so I thought it was that.

She has a mild temp. I am really starting to freak out.

DH took her to emerg cause we can see anything in her mouth causing the bleeding......

Re: Bleeding mouth

Well DH took her to the hospital last night and waiting 4 hours just to get registered by then her temp was normal and the bleeding had stopped. They came home cause they would still be waiting now. No more bleeding and she got hungry so she had a bottle and seems fine now.

What info I have found is that this could be a popped blood vessel due to teething. Which kinda makes sense since both girls have peirced at least two teeth each this week so maybe its another one.

Hospitals suck. Glad your dd is doing ok! The teething thing makes total sense. I'll bet that was it. Drool mixed in might have made it seem like more blood than there really was.

Re: Bleeding mouth

It was lighter in color then it would have been if it was full on bleeding so I think there was drool in there too.

She was chewing like crazy when they were waiting at the hospital....so i hope thats all it is

Re: Bleeding mouth

Sorry the hospital visit was a waste of time. Hopefully it was just a one time thing and you won't have to deal with that again. It is always so scary to see your child bleeding and you don't know where it is from or why they are bleeding
