Re: Ultrasound?

I was seeing an RE with both DS and this bub, so had them every 2 wks through the 1st tri. After that it was probably averaged once a month or so. My OB has the u/s machine at her office and will frequently pull it out to give a peek at the baby.

Re: Ultrasound?

I had my first at 7 weeks to confirm a heartbeat. I had 6 more after that, 2 with the OB, the 21 week gender u/s, then when they discoverd I had placenta previa, I had another to see if it had moved. Then I had a bleeding episode where I had another done in the hosp and a final one that determined my AF was a level 3 and they did an emergency c-sect.

Re: Ultrasound?

I had an 8 weeks ultrasound (that the doctor was reluctant to give, because he refused to believe that I had hyperemesis) to check my gall bladder to see if there was an explanation for vomiting large amounts of yellow bile every day, all day long. Gall bladder was fine, and she checked on the baby as well. Dated the pregnancy, and gave me one more week, so my due date moved from 8/27 to 9/3

I had another at 21 weeks. Gender.

And I had one at 40w6d to check on baby. I was induced that night for low fluid levels (Oh, how I would go back and choose differently)

Re: Ultrasound?

With DS, I had an U/S at 10ish weeks to date the pregnancy, an anatomy scan at 20 weeks, and a quickie at 40-something weeks so my doc could figure out how exactly DS was positioned.

So far this time, I had a dating scan at just over 7 weeks and a quickie at my OB's office when she couldn't get a heartbeat on the Doppler at 11 weeks. We've got an anatomy scan scheduled at 21 weeks, and will get at least one more U/S late in pregnancy to estimate size.

Re: Ultrasound?

more then i can count!

I had one a 5w...4ish days? (previous miscarriage), could not see baby, dating at 9 weeks, NT scan at what...13ish weeks? Anatomy at 20, 3D at 27 (at a stand alone 3d place). I was placed on bedrest because of IC at 29 weeks, and had an ultrasound every week until 36 weeks (taken off bedrest), then a few growth ultrasounds after that. So easily 12-15?

Re: Ultrasound?

5w4d - to confirm pregnancy and date (I was actually 70 days into my cycle at this point due to really irregular cycles).
6w2d - suspected m/c. Everything was fine, just tons of bleeding.
7w - heavy bleeding again
12w NT scan
19w anatomy scan
37w0d - biophysical profile since I hadn't felt DS move for over a day. I had low fluid and he wasn't moving much so I was induced immediately. DS was born via c-section at 37w4d.

Re: Ultrasound?

With ds1 I had 2. They were standard. One at 20 weeks and one at 32 weeks. With ds2 I only had one. I used a homebirth Midwife and I decided I would like 1 ultrasound just to make sure everything was going good in there. I had that at around 19 weeks. With all future children I will have only 1 unless there is a medical need for more. I'm a big believer in as little interventions as possible from pregnancy to old age.

Re: Ultrasound?

I was considered high risk with DD and had like 10. Hoping to only have a dating one this time since I'm not sure on my ovulation date and my cycles were off.
