I've had a ton but also had a ton of problems. Thankfully none of us glow.... well not yet anyway
![]() With Ds, I had hyperemesis to the point of needing an infusion pump at home. I developed an ulcer, had a SCH early on & the high risk dr wanted to check fluid levels since dd #2 & dd #3 arrived early (33 & 37 weeks) due to low fluid. I also have a lot of medical problems aside from all my fun pregnancy stuff. This is only counting baby u/s. I had 3 each of my liver & heart during that pregnancy. I had 1 at :8 weeks 10 weeks 12 weeks 13 weeks 20 weeks 24 weeks 25 weeks 27 weeks 33 weeks 37 weeks With dd#3, I had 1 at 8 weeks 11 weeks 20 weeks 26 weeks 27 weeks 28 weeks 29 weeks 30 weeks 31 weeks 32 weeks 33 weeks 34 weeks And then every 48 hours from 34-37 weeks. That pregnancy I had a SCH, hyperemesis, got the chicken pox, hand, foot & mouth disease & had low fluid from 26 weeks until I was induced at 37 weeks for that reason. Fluid checks are considered accurate for 48 hours, so they had me come in that often to try & keep me pg as long as possible.

With dd #2, I just had 1 at:
8 weeks 20 weeks And 33 weeks where they saw my fluid was extremely low & I was induced on the spot. You know your u/s is bad when your dr drives over to the hospital & shows up during your u/s just to see you. ![]() I was pg with dd #1 in 1993 (she was born Jan 1994) & back then u/s was less common in general. I just had 1 at 20 weeks. I had hyperemesis & was on strict bed rest & meds after going into labor & dilating at 27 weeks but they didn't do any other u/s than the 20 week one.

Re: Ultrasound?
None with last pregnancy, and more than halfway along with this pregnancy and no intentions of one this time either.

Re: Ultrasound?
of the top of my head, at least 11, but I used a fertility doc, so they do U/S every 2 weeks thru 1st tri. I also had some scary bleeding thru 16 weeks that required a couple of U/S, and I switched docs, so, more U/S!

Re: Ultrasound?
With DD, we had one at 18 weeks (regular 20 week U/S, but going every four weeks would have put it at 18 or 22, I chose 18). It was the standard gender and anatomy scan.
Then we chose to pay for another at 30 weeks, to get the full benefit of 4D. But it turned out she was already 4 'weeks' too big and we couldn't see her face at all (she was 5lbs 4oz @ 30 weeks), because her face was plastered up against me. OB discounted it and said there was no way she was that big. She was 10lbs 7oz at birth. With DS, we had the regular 20 week scan around 18 weeks, then we had another at 30 & 34 to check his growth due to how big his sister was. He, too, was a large baby - 5lbs 2oz at 30 weeks, 10lbs 7oz at birth. No GD, I just bake them big. I always felt a little shorted that we never had early ultrasounds, as it's not the practice of that office to do one until 18-20 weeks. So I never got to feel pregnant until ~15-16 weeks when the kicks started.

Re: Ultrasound?
With my first I had one at 20 weeks...had lots of preterm labor issues and was actually kinda suprised I didn't have more u/s than the one.
With my second, I had one at 6-ish weeks due to cramping and spotting (ER doc wanted to make sure I wasn't miscarrying), then one at 20 weeks. This is my third--I had one at 8-ish weeks...they weren't planning on doing one, but when my 5 year old kept insisting there were two babies, the nurse practitioner decided to do one because she really trusts kid's instincts on stuff like that...he was wrong though. Had another 12 weeks as part of the screening to measure the nuchal fold and to verify due date (I was right on with conception/due date). Just had my 20 week u/s today. They said unless baby seems to be abnormally large later on, or they can't tell if it has moved from breech, then this should be my last one.
