Re: Do you get picts printed to put in albums?

Nope, not a one. I've had good intentions but no. I do the Jcpenny/Target/Sears ones every few months and have albums per year for those. My kid prefers computers anyway so he can look at them on the computer.

hmmm...you think it's cheaper to print out each photo? if i remember correctly - shutterfly books hold up to 1,000 pics. the last book i ordered (during a sale) was about $90 so that's less than 11 cents per pic not including the fact that you also get a hard bound album.

I scrapbook, so I print pictures, put them in albums, include journaling, the whole 9 yards. Here's some recent pages:

This page includes "hidden" journaling under the Santa pic of all the presents she got for her 1st Christmas

I also scrapbook so I print lots of pics. DD is on her 3rd scrapbook and she is almost 18 months. I also have a photo box with pics that don't make the books or people give me or I print extras. I am a photo freak.

Re: Do you get picts printed to put in albums?

I have a scrapbook made up until about 9 mo old. I want to finish it to include the first 12 months. (DS is 20 months old.)After that, I'll probably do it very sporadically. I don't have the time to scrapbook. Such as he went on a jet ski for hte first time recently, and I'd definitely put that picture in there! Memorable moments, definitely.

Re: Do you get picts printed to put in albums?

Thanks for all the replies. I was really wondering if I was being old-fashioned by getting prints made and putting them in albums thinking that most people these days just kept online albums. I'm so glad others still do this because I really enjoy having albums and I LOVE seeing my DD flip through them!

I like the hidden journaling I will be trying that.

DD is 2 1/2, so we are half way through scrapbook number three, one for each year. She also has a baby book with pics and two scrapbooks for trips to Disney. I'm a little obsessed but we both love looking at them.

Re: Do you get picts printed to put in albums?

I think we have 10,000+ photos of our daughter in digital format and have about 1,000 to print which isn't bad since sites like PEphoto can print them out at 8 cents a copy.

I love photo albums, my mother made me one few years back; kept some of the pictures I have never seen in my life from the day I was born until before I moved out. I still look at it from time to time.
