Please tell me I'm being silly (transverse baby).

I know I'm only 26 wks as of Wed, so there is still plenty of time. But this baby has been in a transverse position for over a month. His head is on my bladder, and he likes to push his feet into my side. Please tell me that he'll turn! Both girls were always either head up or butt up, but never side-to-side. My over-active imagination is starting to get the better of me regarding c-sections. If I was w/my OB in NE, I wouldn't be worried about this. But I have yet to find an OB out here I'm comfortable with w/a vaginal delivery, let alone being cut open. So please, please tell me I'm being silly and overly neurotic and that he'll turn eventually.

My little one was transverse at 33 weeks and still was able to make the move. Try out the spinningbabies website and see what it says? Good luck!

Mine was sideways up until somewhere around 36 weeks. He finally was head down when I got a BPP at 36 weeks, not sure what prompted the change. But, they can turn back and forth from any position to any other all way up until they're popping out. If you're concerned you can talk to your care provider, check out spinningbabies as mentioned above, or see a chiro that specializes in the webster technique. It's early to worry, but I totally understand

I am 31+3 and baby has moved from transverse, to butt down, to head down and back to transverse. My OB is not concerned yet, so I am not either. They have plenty of time to get themselves situated.

You have plenty of time!! Stop worrying and if it gets closer (like 30+ weeks) then you can start doing some of the moves on spinningbabies. It'll be ok!!

Thank you! I will check out the spinningbabies site if he's still transverse as it get's closer to his EDD. I think if I liked my OB practice, and was comfortable there, I wouldn't be worried about this. We recently moved and I'm having a heck of a time finding someone I like.

You might also consider looking for a chiropractor that does the Webster technique. Mine does and she said she has had a lot of success turning babies with it.

Re: Please tell me I'm being silly (transverse baby).

My middle daughter was still transverse at 32 weeks. She flipped a week later and we ended up having a natural vaginal delivery.

Re: Please tell me I'm being silly (transverse baby).

I'm 27 weeks and I had my OB check me today because I have a suspicion that my little one is also transverse due to the movements I'm feeling.

She couldn't really tell by palpating me but she did tell me not to worry in the slightest right now.

Good luck!
