If you were going to learn one fold...

...to use with a flat for a toddler boy, what would it be? =) I have the padfold down and am looking to learn a new fold since I prefer not to have exposed PUL. Just looking for an all purpose kind of fold. I'm kind of overwhelmed by how many folds there are! Even with my prefolds I only know how to do ONE fold... TIA!

I like the oragami. It looks kindof scary, but os easy once you get the hang of it. It keeps the bulk of the flat in the middle where you need it most.

Re: If you were going to learn one fold...

I use the neat fold jelly rolled on my 15 month and 3 yr old boys and it works perfectly.

My favorite is the Jo fold, by far. Its the same thickness all around though, so I do use a doubler in them with my toddler. I like having that extra thickness in the wings too though, so I don't feel like the snappi is biting into his hips. Its also a great fold because it just as easily can be a padfold for a cover, you just skip the step of winging out the back

Did you check out the airplane fold? Its good for toddler boys because the absorbency is all up front.

I am really loving that airplane fold. I have tried flats at night twice now with this fold and doublers with success. I also like the kite fold but there is not as much absorbancy in front. For some reason, I can never pin the origami fold to make it stay on my kids. I should learn some more but they never really seem to stick in my head. I guess now that I've mastered three, I should attempt a fourth?
