How will the test results be impacted if I can't keep the sugary drink down? I've been having great difficulty keeping sweet stuff down.

I'm thinking that not enough of the sugar will get into my blood stream. Then my body will make insulin but it will not be enough for the test even if it is the right amount for the small amount of sugar that stays in my belly.

I have no idea as to your question, but you might want to check with your doctor/midwife. Perhaps they can give your some sort of nausea medication beforehand?

If you get sick they wont draw blood. They make you retest.

I have heard of them being able to do the test now with jelly beans instead of the drink. Maybe talk to your doctor, explain the situation, and see if that's an option for you.

I would recommend talking to your Dr. about it before hand. S/he will likely know the answer to your question and be able to help you out. That said, I know my Dr. doesn't schedule the test until around 26-28 weeks, so that you'll hopefully be past the point of feeling sick. Maybe in a few weeks when you have to take it, it'll get better?
