Let's stay on topic here- the OP is not asking for opinions on circumcision, but on care of her son.

Generally, vaseline and gauze for 1 week for the little boys I've taken care of.

I saw when this first posted and did not post at the time. But I agree the title of the thread is really tacty.

Do what is best for your family mama, but please research it before hand.

All I am going to say is, you and your DH should watch one before you make up your minds. Here is a link to some videos:

I hate how this topic always turns into a debate. It's so annoying the op was just asking for care tips!! Geez, to each their own!

When we had our son his ped suggested Vaseline, and I will prob be using the same method this time around unless she suggests something else.

Not hatin' mama but the title of this thread is just wrong. It's not that simple. All of us have to make decisions that are best for our own families but at least have DH and yourself watch the video before hand so you can make an educated decision. I know personally many parents who really regret doing it now that they know more about it. 15 square inches is a lot of sensitive skin to remove for no reason. If you decide to go ahead with it use fleece liners.

I agree

. I'm not one to argue or start a debate but it made my skin crawl. A dog put under anesthesia and neutered is a "little snip". Circumcision is so much more than that
