Re: The No Stink, No Complications Laundry Solution!

This is my exact routine!! Never had any stink problems! I'm kind of nervous with the change in Tide formula! I have one last box of the original non-ultra left. Is the new formula really that bad??

Sounds great! We used a free and clear and my son still reacted to it. Soap nuts works good right now for us.

However, we wash in cool water (we have an HE). I occasionally wash in warm but not too often. I have yet to have stinky diapers with this routine. They always smell very clean when they come out.

I've heard many say they bleach everything with no issues. I think Bum Genius even says on the tag to bleach once in a while. I try not to bleach the diaper itself all the time, because I have a suspicion that it might wear out the PUL and elastic faster, but that's just my superstition. Once in a while when it needs it shouldn't hurt it, especially the Bum Genius because they recommend it. I tend to bleach the inserts a lot more often than the diaper itself though.

Ooo! You mean I can have yummy smelling super soft dipes?! I've always been terrified of using softener on my diapers....

I always did think it was weird that we use softener and dryer sheets in all our other laundry, but not in our dipes. They are all washed in the same washer/dryer and never had problems..... Well I'll be....
