summer stash plans..

I leave Tuesday morning and will be in Texas till the end of July.. I have to pack VERY carefully cause of the luggage charges.. I also do tend to use both cloth and sposies while on vaccation so a huge stash is overkill.
Sposies also dont really bug me and she does fine in most I jsut REALLY prefer cloth..

Bringing... (packed and ready to go)
12 prefolds
5 kushie AIOs
4 wrap covers
1 side snap cover (my favorite)
12 cloth wipes
1 pack dropps detergent
2 snappi
4 sposie to get started...
1 cloth swim diaper

when I arrive
1 pack sposies
and I should have some flushable liners waiting for me..

My plan is to day time cloth diaper and use sposies at night and some outtings. I figure I'll aim at washing every 3 days my DD averages 5-7 day time diapers ussually (shes tends to hold her pee) and I can stretch things with a few sposies if needed
packing the diaper bag with sposies for the plane as well...

Um I'm leaving Thursday for about 72 hours and I'm carting 48 diapers with me. And baby Brooklyn isn't even mine. Lol. I just happened to have room in my suitcase. You have discipline!

Re: summer stash plans..

I have small suite cases I'm not worried about being able to launder so I think I'll be fine. I'll also admit I tend to be a lazy CDer over the summers and probably end up doing around 80% cloth and 20 % sposies jsut cause.

I'll be on here Sunday night whining about how we took way too many diapers and my suitcase was overweight. Yada Yada.

But your sweet girl is older than Jasmine's. She's not quite 3 months.

Re: summer stash plans..

I did all flats last year when I traveled. Margaret was around 3 months then. then I did 24 flats 8 covers 8 doublers.
I'm making a few changes though I live in a suoer hot climate area but its "dry heat" ungodly hot dry heat but still dry.. therefor as long as I change often we still do okay with pul.. However I'll be in texas where the humity will be much greater and heat and wet don't mix in diapers...
I can't wont do wool but I'm now going to pack
2 cotton covers (my nicky and niji)
2 side snapping covers which I both LOVE for function and will provide better air flow( simplicity and MEAF)

Re: summer stash plans..

I'm in TX and don't really have issues with using PUL. I thought we would, its been averaging over 100 degrees here everyday (actual temp, not heat index.) Switching to all cotton has been such a challenge for me, but we are doing great with it. I think what you're taking sounds good. Especially since you will have access to a washing machine I would do coverless as often as you can in this humidity.

Where in TX are you going??

I remember you were asking about side snap fleece covers the other day. Have you tried Stacinators? There is also a wahm here in dfw that makes some
" fleece be with you" I have not tried them, but they look nice. I have used the stacinator, which works well, but not the cutest.
