Just Starting CD

Hi! I am new to CDing, I attempted once with some 2nd hand BG 4.0 OS and didn't care for them, sold them. Now I know they needed to be stripped due to detergent build up so I am starting over. So far I have 12 chinese prefolds, 2 Thristies duo covers and 6 JustSimplyBaby and 4 GoGreens. I love pockets but hate stuffing them. I want to build my stash with some of everything to try out kwim?

What brands do you ladies recommend for a newbie? TIA!

If you don't like stuffing pockets, then look into AI2 systems. Prefolds/covers are an AI2 system too! I love prefolds/covers. My favorites are sized prefolds, GMD brand (greenmountaindiapers.com) with flip covers.

You could try fitteds with covers, too.

Or AIOs.

I love the Osocozy brand, economical yet practical and quality. They have a wide variet of products from flats and perfumes to fitteds and AIOs. I highly recommend them. I carry a lot of their products, links in my siggy if you want to look at them.
I agree that trying a little bit of everything to find what you really love is a great idea. If you ever need to strip your diapers in the future I like the Penguin Sport Wash for that, really easy and gentle on diapers. It's in the detergent and washes section on my site if you want to read the information on it.

Why not do a diaper trial program? It's a cheap low-commitment way to try lots of different types and brands, and then you just send back the stuff you don't want to keep (they usually just charge a small fee). Several online CD stores offer them - just google it.

I also like the AI2 systems, and prefolds/covers, although I prefer to fold and snappi the prefolds for better containment.
