Newborns and Wool Covers - How Many Is Enough?

I'm planning on doing prefolds, fitteds and wool soakers for the newborn. I've found some really good deals and done trades and have almost enough diapers now. I've got 3 soakers...how many will I need? I'll also have some sleepsacks I will knit, maybe a pair of longies or two and probably a few backup PUL cover *justincase* but the primary will be soakers.

Also, what's better for a newborn snapping or pull on? I would think snapping but I'm gonna try at least one pull on bc they seem like theyd give such great covereage over any fitted.

Thanks for any help!

I have had 3 pull on wool covers with Snappi'd prefolds and been perfectly happy. Full time. One to wash and 2 to wear.

Re: Newborns and Wool Covers - How Many Is Enough?

Depends on how quickly wool will dry in your area. In the wintertime my soakers take 2-3 days to thoroughly dry after a wash, so I'm planning on having six in rotation for every size (of course in reality I have about 10 covers in every size b/c wool is so addicting...)
