Detergents

Right now I use Country Save on my diapers, but I was thinking of switching to RnG. What are your opinions on which one is better? Thanks!

Country Save is good. I say if it works don't mess with it. Why do you want to switch?

My diapers kind of stink after they're done washing.

How much Country Save do you use? Do you do a prewash first? How clean is the water during the wash cycle? If it's very polluted water, no detergent will be able to clean well. If you're using very little detergent (1-2 tbsp), you might need to use more.

Also how hot is the water? Hotter water will boost the detergent's cleaning power.

I use half a scoop of detergent.. I don't know how to check the temp of the water. Just stick a thermometer in the water? I do a prewash in cold. The water is always sort of murky though. There aren't suds, but I don't know what murky water means.

I use mostly BG 4.0s and I have a few other brands of pockets as well.

I wonder if you have hard water? It's tricky to surf on my itouch or I would look myself but if you go to RNG's website you can view a map of the US and it will tell you what kind of water you have. Will you look and post back, it would be a huge help to know that.
