Seasonal Allergies

What do you do for seasonal allergies for you or your little ones? Would prefer something natural. But open to all suggestions. Thanks.

Re: Seasonal Allergies

if your child is over 1 years old I would get a LOCAL raw honey. Local is the best but if you have to just buy raw honey. Give them like a spoonful. I sometimes put it on pancakes or something if dd doesn't want it by itself (usually she'll eat it straight though). I would avoid over the counter allergy meds at all cost. JMO

My 10 year old (& also my DH) take Dr.Shens Sinus Formula. It is amazing stuff! But unfortunately it only comes in pill form. So it depends on your LO's tolerance for taking pills whether this would work for your family or not. Also, you could see what's in it and attempt to recreate your own version in kid form.

Re: Seasonal Allergies

I second raw honey, but something else you can do is regular nasal cleansing. Both of our kids allergies have been bad this year, but I found DS's were better when I would use nasal saline & the nosefrida (snot sucker) regularly.
