Re: play groups in Hawaii?

We have a terrific Meetup group on Oahu. Go to meetup.com and check out Island Mamas. We have a range in ages from 5yo down to 3-4 months old. We do playdates for all ages, some are at homes, some are at local parks, some are at local sites (museums, the zoo, the aquarium etc). It is mostly military Mamas, but we do have a few non-military too. There are actually several Oahu based meetup playgroups. There are all of the ASYMCA playgroups on each base. I find them a little hectic for my taste, but DD is younger than most of the LOs in those groups. There are a ton of other kid places like Gymboree too. DD is just getting interested in that kind of stuff so I am just starting to research going to them.

Thanks mama. Good to know there are other options. I will check out meetup.com.
I imagine most are SAHM. I work M-F so I would only be available on weekends.

It's a shame I saw meetup now charges a monthly fee. There used to be a group in Hilo but I guess no more. Only saw one for Kona.
