Re: Would you nurse someone else's baby?

I nursed my niece, she was a preemie (27 weeks) and my sister was having nursing/supply issues and she wanted to see if she was actually sucking enough to nurse and to see how long she would go (knowing she was getting milk) so we gave it a shot I was also able to donate some of my milk to her, as my sisters supply really tanked while exclusively pumping, before my niece was able to nurse. I would do it again if someone needed me.

If I had permission, absolutely!

I'd only want you to nurse mine if I knew you and knew you didn't have any transmittable illness! Anything to help another mama out. I know my bf would totally nurse mine, and I would nurse hers if need be. Shoot, for awhile I kept telling my dh that I wished my sister lived with us bc I would have nursed my niece so she would at least get some bm.

I'll be the oddball out. I wouldn't feel comfortable at all.

No, I wouldn't unless it was a life or death situation. I just don't think I'd feel comfortable with a baby at my breast that was not my own I wouldn't have a problem pumping or expressing and feeding a baby a bottle of my milk, though.

If there was a hungry baby around who needed feeding I would gladly provide some boob.
