Help! Is this bloody show?! *TMI*
I was due on fathers Day with baby #3. About an hour ago, I went to the bathroom and thought I had to go #2, but nothing came out. When I looked in the toilet, there was a red streak of blood down the center of the bowl. When I wiped, there was a tiny bit of blood, but I can't tell if it came from my vagina or rectum. I took a shower and neither are bleeding now. Nothing hurts, etc...
I did have a couple of contractions since then, but nothing any worse than what i've been having for weeks, and nothing consistent or "timeable." WHAT WAS THE BLEEDING FROM!?! I called my OB and the nurse said that if I thought it was rectal, I could wait and just come to my appointment at 1:00. If I thought it was vaginal, I should go to triage because it is probably bloody show. I don't know what it was or where it was coming from. When I had bloody show with my son, it was on the toilet paper when I wiped and had it gone into the toilet, there was so little I would have never noticed it. I didn't have ANY blood with my daughter. There wasn't a TON of blood... but enough to see it in the toilet. Like when you go to the bathroom and find that you have started your period. I don't want to go up and sit in triage only for them to send me home sans baby and make me miss my u/s and dr. appt. at 1:00. What should I do?! What was your bloody show like?!

Was it mucousy? Mine was mucousy. But I don't see why you'd need to go to triage just yet...I lost my mucus plug twice over a 2 week period (it regrew) before I had my son.

Re: Help! Is this bloody show?! *TMI*
When I had bloody show it was AFTER my water broke & a lot. I was in the hospital when it happened bc I had already been laboring several hours. It was a mixture of blood & mucous and probably about the size of a ping-pong ball or more.
Is it possible that it could have been from a hemmie? ETA: if you don't have any other signs of labor & you plan on birthing vaginally I'd wait, when you're at your doc appt they can check you

![]() And there was no mucus... but I have been using Evening Primrose Oil for 3 weeks now- 2 pills orally, and 2 pills vaginally. I have had mucus "discharge" (sorry, lol!) for about a week now.

I would just wait and go to your doctors appt, you don't want to go to the hospital and have them try to keep you there if you're in early labor!

Re: Help! Is this bloody show?! *TMI*
The doctor cannot find a source! Weirdest thing ever. I had an NST and I am definitely having contractions- but I have to be induced either tomorrow or Thurs. (Waiting to hear back from OB's office.) My fluid levels are only at 3.5, which is dangerous. That coupled with the bleeding means bubs has to come out asap. I've held off as much as I can... it's out of my hands now!

So weird they couldn't find a source. Good luck mama! Look on the bright side, at least you will be holding your new LO very soon. =)

Re: Help! Is this bloody show?! *TMI*
I had it before my water broke, probably 8 hours before. It was mucusy and you could tell it wasn't just blood. It really looked like a nasty, snotty, bloody nose IMO
ETA: This is a vasectomy baby? Oh that gives me hope, DH is getting fixed after this baby is born.
