I don't know yet.

Both kids are still co-sleeping.

DS is almost 2 and we are JUST starting the transition......If we had a bigger bed I wouldn't probably be dong it quite yet, but with baby #2 on the way and our queen sized bed, we just have to.

Hopefully, he will be okay with it.

Well ds1 is 5.5yrs and still in bed with us. Ds2 is 17months and also in our bed. We have a king sized bed. Ds1 has his own bed but still doesn't want to sleep in it, and I won't push him. He's also autistic, so he is a little different than a typical child. We will have to do some figuring when we are ready for another baby, but probably by then ds1 will have decided to move on his own.

Re: At what age did you or do you plan to stop cosleeping?

DD coslept for about 3 months during which time she woke to eat and that was it. After about 3 months, she started waking to see if I was still there. She wasn't hungry, wet or anything. Out of desperation and sleep depravation, we let her give the bassinet beside our bed a shot and she slept through the night that night and has slept through the night for the most part every night since (besides the occasional nightmare and nights she is sick etc). Every once in a while she sleeps in our bed when DD works late or what have you, but she tosses and turns. She sleeps much better by herself.

Re: At what age did you or do you plan to stop cosleeping?

I didn't cosleep with my 2 oldest. It was drilled into me that they should sleep in their own beds from day one. They are 14 and 11. Now with my 2 youngest, almost 4 and 2, they both sleep with me. They have their own beds in my room so if they want to sleep alone they have that option but they never do.
I plan on leaving them in with me until they are ready to leave.

Re: At what age did you or do you plan to stop cosleeping?

I said between one and two. But we only partially co-sleep. I just can't sleep all night with the baby in the bed with me. I hate that about my cfs, but I have come to accept it. We put the bassinet by the bed and snuggle baby in with us when I am nursing. Hubby snuggles up with baby some too before moving them to their bassinet. When they outgrow that we do the same type of thing with the crib.

By about 16-18mths baby is sleeping even without comfort nursing through the night mostly. So we reclaim our bed. Intimacy is important to us and it suffers some when we share the bed. (Not that it does for others. That is just what we have found in our relationship.)

I voted over 4! My DD is 4 (she will be 5 in July) and she to this day still co-sleeps with me or either her grandma (whom we live with). She does sometime sleep on her own but that is a very rare event. She loves company and has already informed me that she will be sleeping with me and her baby sister/brother.

Re: At what age did you or do you plan to stop cosleeping?

DS coslept exclusively until he was about 16 months. Then within the same month he night-weaned (I was pregnant and my milk was a bit salty) and wanted to start sleeping by himself. He got really restless and wasn't sleeping well in the family bed but when I put him in his crib (which he had never slept in before) he slept great.

DD is only 8 months right now, I'm just going by what she wants and don't really have a particular age in mind.

We don't have a set age in mind. Whenever they are ready. My step daughter weaned to her own bed at age 5. My son is 4 and seems like he is about ready to make the transition. My smallest is only 4 months so he will probably be awhile
