Are Nikky covers gentle on thighs?

These are one of my favorite covers (we have the rainbow version). DD is now 20lbs and almost 1 yr old and fits into a medium w/ a padfolded flat or a trifolded infant pf and a flat pinned if it is folded small enough which usually isnt an issue. She also fits into a large very nicely it just gives a little more coverage. ATM I prefer the medium on her especially w/ a padfolded flat but the large works great for everything else.
This is DD at about 15lbs w/ a medium rainbow Nikkys and a padfolded Osocozy flat

the rainbow edge is good for outings. we use a joeybunz hemp insert in it and the cover never even feels damp. never leaks!

I honestly don't think you would need the Flips. Like I said we never have wicking or leaks even after 10+ hours. For nights we use Flip organic. Under the covers during the day we use cotton or bamboo flats and prefolds. When she was younger and still EBF I often used Snugglebottoms fitteds which is a super trim combo. I didn't even snappi or pin them all the time.

thanks! I think Ill get the Nikky covers and hold off on Flips. I can always get them later.

I have the rainbow edge OTW!! DD is 8 mos and 18lbs. I ordered the large since she's at the end of the weight range for size medium. I hope it's not too big! I think these covers look great. I doubt anything will ever sway my love for Flips, but these sure look wonderful!!

I ordered 3 rainbow edge and 3 breathable poly. they're supposed to be equally breathable right? or is one more so than the otehr?

What detergent do you use to wash your covers? the lady I talked to at babybunz said they recommend ecover delicate to help protect the "waterproofness" of them.
