Re: Carrier question

I love my Boba, but if you need something that fast, it might be best to get an Ergo from your local place. Maybe they have a few returns and would loan you one for the trip? Like a rental carrier.

Re: Carrier question

I would call Frogmama on this one. I personally prefer the Beco especially for front carries. My favorite of all time is a Kinderpack but you would have to find one on FSOT either on their facebook page or TBW and it may not get there in time. Frogmama has a good clearance section. I don't think she sells Boba. Boba was good for us when DD was about 8 months but I got underarm rub more recently (she's 15 months now). An Ergo has a short body so it won't last you too much longer.

What are the chances you could go to Goodwill and buy it back for your trip? Just thought I would throw that out there. Is there anyone that would give you a loaner? You could probably get an Action by then and those are pretty nice as well.

Re: Carrier question

I love my boba-the shoulder and waist straps are made like a good hiking backpack. but I'm not a huge fan of front carrying with it. I think it would be perfect for both front and back carries IF you could cross the shoulder straps to make an X when you're front carrying. my ds is good with the back carry though, hence my boba love

Oh, mama. If you were close I would let you borrow my Boba
I love love it, especially for my tall guy. I just lent out my Ergo to my friend because we only used it a handful of times.

Re: Carrier question

I wish I knew someone who had one I could borrow! I don't know anyone who even has a baby to carry I tried my angelpack mei tai today to see if I could slink by with it, but it is just SO uncomfy now that he is big and I will have to wear him in front for the plane ride.
I thought about going by the Goodwill just to see if I could get lucky, but I have no idea which one it went too (we have at least 3 of them nearby) or when it was 'donated' so I am sure it is gone. I know if I saw a like-new Ergo at Goodwill I would snatch it up in a heartbeat! I want the Boba now, but can't order one to get here in time I don't think.

Re: Carrier question

Ack, it sounds like your hands are sort of tied. I'd vote for the Boba though, if I had to pick between those two carriers. If you have a mei tai that works for front carries when your LO is small, then it makes sense to get one that's designed to be comfy while carrying older kids in particular.

Re: Carrier question

I just remembered that Sweetbottoms takes appointments and they are in the area where I go to school. If they e-mail me back in time I may be able to pick up a Boba from there.... Crosses fingers!
