Should PUL be sticky?

I have a bunch of size small FBs that I bought used off of ebay. They are old style, and well-used, but in really very good condition. When I stuff them, they are SO EASY to stuff!

Well, I have one new OS FB and the PUL is really quite sticky. I can't think of a better word for it, but my hand will get stuck when I try stuffing it, and then the insert is all bendy inside. Is this the way it's supposed to be? I'm sure it's been washed 20 or so times by now. If anything, it's gotten worse.

Thoughts?

Well, at least we know we are the only ones! Haha.

Hoping someone else has some ideas. It is really kind of annoying stuffing the sticky pul one!

Re: Should PUL be sticky?

Some of my BG's are that way. They are all a little sticky but some are definitely more sticky than others. I haven't had any FB's in a while but I think they were the same way? My Kawaii's that have TPU which has a very different feel to it.

Re: Should PUL be sticky?

The majority of my 13 FBs have really sticky PUL! I can't figure out why some have it and some don't.

Re: Should PUL be sticky?

I have the same problem with the older Happy Heiny's. That was the reason I refused to use them, until I was in an actual store and felt one and it wasn't sticky. The new ones aren't sticky.

Re: Should PUL be sticky?

Not sure the answer either...but I noticed a lot of mine were sticky and hard to stuff like that too. Then I got a new FB OS and switched detergents and noticed how easy it was to stuff. Now I don't feel like my diapers are as sticky and I have wondered if it was my new detergent and wash routine...

but I wonder if there are different varieties of the PUL on the FB? Mine are all made in China so I assumed the materials were the same.

I asked somewhere and was told it was normal for them to be sticky or smooth but it was at least a year ago and I can't remember if I asked directly to Fuzzi Bunz or on a forum and I didn't get an explanation why.

Re: Should PUL be sticky?

I have had this with a few BG and FB. I found it went away after a few weeks.

Re: Should PUL be sticky?

Alot of my PUL is sticky, and a lot of it isn't. I'm not really sure what causes it . It doesn't seems to affect the performance of the diaper, just makes it harder to stuff!
