Re: Nausea

I have been so sick already and the thought of eating beans makes me feel even more sick. I think I'm out of luck.

Re: Nausea

There is another thread I bumped a couple days ago about increasing protein intake, and someone in there said that she makes "garbanzo nibs" by taking a can of garbanzo beans, tossing them with some sea salt and olive oil, then roasting them at 400 degrees for 40 minutes, giving them a stir halfway through. It makes a little snack and isn't so "beany" as just eating some straight-up beans. So that could be something to try, too.

That sounds good! I've been having random waves of nausea, but I've started eating beans a couple of times a day...I just throw some garbonzos into my salad. I'm going to try the nibs!
I've always noticed that I feel worse if I don't eat a lot of protein in the first tri, but it's the hardest thing to get into my system for some reason. I can't just drop what I'm doing and go grill up a chicken breast, ya know? And a spoonful of peanut butter doesn't last very long.

I'm hoping hummus counts as garbonzo beans

Re: Nausea

Is anyone besides me eating beans everyday? I have waves of nausea, but nothing horrible.
My siggy says I'm only 4 weeks pregnant, but since I got my BFP 2 weeks ago, I think I'm probably closing in on the 6 week mark. So far, so good.

Re: Nausea

I am eating beans every day, lol. I think I need to cook up something besides the garbanzo nibs... maybe some navy beans. Something that I can eat hot and cooked instead of a "snacky" snack, and save the nibs for when I'm out and about.

Re: Nausea

I'm going to get some pigeon peas for cooking in rice, they are a legume, and less um, "beany" I also got some chickpeas since I like those and can make hummus with them.
