Interesting developement

So today my 20 mo old has started having an opinion about his diapers. Earlier today he was in a bamboo Terry flat, and I went to put a recycled wool cover over it for his nap. As I was putting it on him he said "yucky, yucky" and was grabing his crotch. He still went down for his nap in it no problem. When he got up, I put a Ragababe on him which is Velcro and he did not take it off 2.5 hrs no problem. I just changed him into a Sandy no cover, and about 5 min later he is running around trying to pull it down saying "yucky, yucky" So I thought maybe it was wet, but no it is dry. So, I said "what is wrong Rhys?" He runs over to the diaper bin, and brings me a bottombumper. I asked if he wanted this diaper on and to lay down. He lays down ( which he never does, still fights me on diaper changes) He lays perfectly still, and continues to say yucky as I'm taking the sandy off. Bottombumper on, back to business as usual.

this reminds me of my 4 year old telling me that she didn't like disposable pull ups as well as her motherease bedwetter pants She has since stopped wetting at night...but I think they know which diapers feel best, and it's great when they can tell us!

I know agh I just bought a whole rainbow of sandys like 2 weeks ago I think he is liking trimmer diapers I guess. But, comfort has always been one of the main reasons I cloth diaper, so I am glad he is getting to where he can tell me. I'm hopping he tells mil that sposies are "yucky" too some day

DD used to bring me a clean diaper and lay down on the floor when she wanted to be changed. It's cute and interesting when they start to be vocal about what they like and don't like.
