That's fantastic! Great job mama hang in there! My youngest arrived one day short of 38 weeks and is considered full term. I didn't even go to the hospital for him.

You are a trooper!! At 37 weeks I'm DONE. DS and DD2 were both born at 37 on the nose and were fine. Good luck!

Sounds like you're doing great! Hopefully your LO can stay in a little longer for you. My oldest was born at 35 weeks and had no NICU stay and my youngest was born at 32 weeks with a 30 day NICU stay so you may not need the NICU at all! Congrats, mama.

Re: 35-36 weeks

I had my daughter at 35w1d due to preeclampsia. She was born completely healthy besides having severe, severe jaundice. She also had latching problems because she slept all the time, which is both from prematurity and from jaundice. Other than that, she was quite healthy like I said. 6 pounds, 2 ounces.

Re: 35-36 weeks

I had cholestasis and DS was delivered at 35weeks. He was 7lb 3 oz and the doctor was shocked! He spent two days on the vent and two weeks in the nicu. I am not going to lie and say it was easy. My other son was full term and very healthy so they were completely different experiences. I didn't hold him until he was one week old and I didn't nurse him until he was 10 days old. They told me he may not nurse as easily as a full term baby, but he nursed like a champ and that is why he came home at two weeks instead of three. He has had more health issues than my oldest, but overall he is doing well.

ETA; Yay for 37 weeks!

Yay for 37 weeks! My DD was born at 36w3d and weighed 8.9lbs. She was in the NICU until she was 6 weeks old due to her blood sugar not regulating. She was mostly formula fed there ( I am a horrible pumper but tried and I wasn't allowed to nurse her) and we switched to ebf when she came home. She is currently 22m and still nurses tons even with me pregnant.

Re: 35-36 weeks

My little man was born at 36 wks and didn't have any issues. He wasn't jaundice, was 6 lbs and 18 3/4 in, had great apgar scores and roomed in with me the whole time. We did have some issues with breastfeeding but the LC were excellent and were able to devise a plan that got us right back to ebf. My water broke spontaneously so I think he was just ready to be out

My little man was born at 37 exactly. But with outreach he was about the gestational size of a 34 week baby. His lungs were good with the exception of oxygen assistance to get him started. He had problems with jaundice for a couple weeks. And was later diagnosed with failure to thrive. But now he is a thriving 13 MONTH old. good luck. Everything will be ok
