For a princess-seamed garment, you could make two extra center-front pieces, sew them together right sides together, then turn and sew on top of the current bodice, but make the underneath part have a deep V-shaped cut in it (turned or zig-zagged to prevent fraying).

For clothing that just has a regular bodice, you could cut two front bodice pieces - 1 where the top edge of it would end just above your breasts, and you'd add a tiny bit of extra ease on that top edge, and some elastic. Then the other piece would have a bit of extra ease on the bottom edge, and also with elastic. The pieces are then sewn together at the sides, with right sides facing up, and the long piece on top of the short piece, and then treated the same for the rest of the garment construction. This is an "overlap" style nursing opening. For the underneath layer, instead of having it land just over your breasts, you could also cut deep armholes instead, and have nursing access that way.

And all these methods can be used just for tops, too.
Awesome! Thanks for the tips!
