If they're in church clothes then I do make them change.

Yes. My kids get filthy playing nearly every day. They are allowed to play with water and sand and such indoors (no carpeting), and a huge portion of our backyard is dirt that we keep rotatilled(sp?) so that the kids can dig around and make messes in it. My kids don't know how to play clean but they are happy and have great imaginations.

You can stop them?!? I don't care. Kids are meant to have fun, get dirty and play hard.

Yes to their heart's content but not when we are on our way out because I don't want mud in my car. If we're just kicking around in the yard, at a friend's house or walking the neighborhood then fine whatever. I don't buy them anything that is not cotton and washable so who cares.

If we're out somewhere, and I need to put them in their car seats then no. If we're at home, and are not heading out then I don't care.

If my kids are wearing something that I don't mind them getting dirty. If they are wearing their church clothes or nice shoes, or if it's chilly and they don't have anything to change into, I wouldn't let them do it. Otherwise, absolutely. Actually, I'd love it if my son would allow himself to get dirty more often, but he doesn't really like being covered in mud. My daughter does though

If we are at home, and I'll be able to change them into clean clothes and clean socks.... then sure. Or if we're at the playground.. yup.

But if it's like.. we're on our way to church or going out to dinner.. or something else where we won't be home in time to get dry socks on them. Then no, I try to keep them OUT of the puddles.

I believe kids are kids. Let them play and have fun. But at the same time, sometimes it's just not the time to get dirty. KWIM?

God bless!
