Yup. My kids can get dirty any day. It's part of being a kid and their clothes are washable.

Re: Do you let your toddlers get dirty/jump in puddles?

Hmm... I can answer this one.

My kids are always playing in puddles. We live on a dirt road in the middle of the country. I grew up playing in them and so will all of my babies. Clothes can be washed. And even if they never come clean, it would be worth it to me to see my kiddos so happy.

Re: Do you let your toddlers get dirty/jump in puddles?

I do, unless we are on our way to eat or on the rare occassion going to church. And typically, if I catch her beforehand, I'll strip her down to her diaper. Her favorite thing is to "fingerpaint" with mud/dirt on her legs. But god forbit her hands get dirty. But it's all good - she washes and clothes wash. And I am the crazy person who probably spends a little too much on clothes and buys too much white...you'd think I'd learn.

Dd plays in dirt all the time. I'm used to carrying a pack of babywipes and a change of clothes around LOL

Dirt is no match for a bath and the washing machine at the end of the day so why should I keep DD from having fun

Re: Do you let your toddlers get dirty/jump in puddles?

I so wish that I could let DS get dirty, but it just isn't safe here. We live in a really crowded urban area and the only green space here is mostly used as a litterbox for dogs. There is fecal matter everywhere, along with broken glass, cigarette butts and who knows what else.

At DH's family farm, however, he is free to get as dirty as he likes. He only has one 'good' outfit, and we just don't take him outside in it. Everything else is play clothes that he is free to get dirty.

YES! Unless we are on our way to somewhere nice or if they are in really nice clothes. Lets be honest though, that doesn't happen often I'm all about kids having fun and getting dirty. It's good for them.

Re: Do you let your toddlers get dirty/jump in puddles?

Unless we are on our way somewhere or I don't have a change of clothes on me then my DD's are free to get a dirty and wet as they want. Generally I will have them take their shoes off as we typically only have one pair for each girl.

Re: Do you let your toddlers get dirty/jump in puddles?

Yep. We had a big storm here the other day and there was a MAMMOTH puddle in front of the house. Our girls spent the better part of an hour jumping in it and running through it.
