diaper rash ?

so dd has a weird rash. it's not her normal - red bum goes away w/in one or two applications of diaper cream kind. i looked at some pictures of a yeast rash and it doesn't really look like that. it's really red little sqiggles that aren't connected to each other and the skin in between is normal looking. it's looking slightly better this morning, but not a ton....anyone have a suggestion. i've been trying to give her some naked time but it's a little more challenging with a toddler.

Re: diaper rash ?

could it be a bacterial infection? Morgan has had horrible diaper rash and a few times now it's turned into a bacterial infection. just a thought. what are you putting on it?

Re: diaper rash ?

I would try the aquaphor and see if that works. If it doesn't get any better and it gets blistery I'd take her in. I had to do that with Morgan and she gave me a rx to put on her and it went away in a matter of 3 days.

Re: diaper rash ?

We use Bag Balm! Takes redness away with one application for us! I love it. Ands when DS gets a bad rash, like from antibiotics, it is a great protectant from diarhea. I think you buy it in the pet section! Hancock carries it too! LOL... weird!

Re: diaper rash ?

well, i just kept using burts on it for the last couple days (couldn't find the aquaphor) and we did do some running around naked outside too. it's not totally gone but it's gotten a lot better.

thanks for the suggestions!
