What do you call girl "pee-pee" or "wee-wee"?

Hello Mama! My 2 yr old DS is DLing and he asked me why I didn't have a pee-pee. I said cause I am a girl, and girls don't have one. Then he asked me what a girl pee-pee is called. I am baffled, since I do not know. What do you call your girls?

Re: What do you call girl "pee-pee" or "wee-wee"?

I grew up being so embarrassed to use the correct names of body parts, and I didn't want to have my kids feel the same. So we use only correct terms, and girls have a vagina. I know it's not all technically the vagina, but we use the term to encompass all of it. Boys have a penis and scrotum, though they usually call it all their penis.

I usually say vagina and if I had a boy I would probably say penis. A few times i caught my self saying pee-pee because I'm trying to help her make the connection that that is where she pees from.

I remember my mom calling it a "wee-wee" and boys have a "pee-pee". I want to be correct and say vagina and penis but I'll probably slip and call it what she did.

I just say "privates". my 3 year old and I had this discussion. I told her that boys have penis and girls a vagina, but that they are private which is why we call them privates.

Ditto this. Also I have heard and read that God forbid if something were to happen and they were to get molested/abused its much easier (from a legal and law enforcement standpoint) to press charges/sentencing against their abuser if they can use the proper terms to describe what happened to them. Obviously worst case scenario but something to think about.

I call it her vulva or her private parts. Vulva is the correct term for all the parts together. The vagina is just one part and I don't want my DD getting confused and think that she pees out of her vagina. I have heard many little girls say that. When dealing with little kids, the sexual aspect is not needed so we skip the "girls have vaginas and boys have penises" thing. At that age they are just interested in what the part is called the the pee comes from so we just say vulva not vagina. Granted I tell her the correct name for each part when she asks, but as a whole, we just say vulva.

Wow I must be the only one. We call it a jayjay. Just recently i've started calling it a vagina to my 6 yo. She knows what I'm talking about, and seems more able to know when is an appropriate time to be talking about it..... or yelling it across the room. Jay jay just seems less innapropriate when they are super young, and have no concept of where we are and who we are around and just decide to blurt things out
