Re: NB diapers on a 6lb baby - pic heavy

As for tiny gs .... they have to be trifolded and I can't imagine more than a preemie prefold in there. And that doesn't hold much pee! The reason I didn't like them is because on the sides it felt like a string bikini! I had no leaks when I used them, they worked and I didn't get alarming red marks like some report, but I felt like the velcro in the back was VERY awkward for a newbie, the loop panel is large and stiff so it has a strange feel in the back... I prefer a fluffy bum!!

the FB are just starting to fit at 9lbs but I still dont trust them- still a touch loose around the legs.

the GroVia still fits perfectly and is our go-to ... it's that or a PF and fluffys cover (the XS Fluffys didnt fit until 8 pounds or so) b/s he's out of the super brites :-(

I should do a day in the same stash at 9 lbs for comparisson!

Re: NB diapers on a 6lb baby - pic heavy

Thanks so much for posting this! My DD was 6lbs 1oz when she was born at 38 weeks and this little guy looks like he may be coming even earlier than that so he'll probably be that size or smaller.

What size were those Bummis Super Whisper Wraps??? I have NB sized ones that I thought would work just as well as the brights...am I wrong?

Seriously so happy to see a TINY newbie with dipes on in photos...the only ones I could find otherwise were 7lbs.

no problem- I knew DS would be under 7 with chicken legs, and couldn't find photos when I was searching either!

the BSWW is NB size... the super brites fit from much smaller- and were the only thing that went under his cord, as you can see in the first photo. I don't know why people always say the ProWrap fits under the cord, yes it has a dip, but it still just barely fits and he's 9 lbs... so they just aren;t made for the rubber-chicken style babies I make

with DD I had all one-size stuff, and it didn't fit until 4 months... DS is packing on the pounds much faster and could probably wear some of it now, but why rush into it when I have those awesome GroVia AIOs for him to still wear? I'll be looking at my OS stash for 2 years, I only get the tiny cuteness for a few months

Re: NB diapers on a 6lb baby - pic heavy

So cute, actually another diaper that totally works is tinkle traps converted infant prefolds lined with velor. (I also got snaps on mine, but you can just snappy if you want) So cute. Espcially dyed. I ordered a bunch and by the time they came they did not fit my little one, but my friend had twins and they were in the 5 pounds something range and it was the only diaper that would fit them. She loved them and was so thankful to be able to borrow them.
