Will my Ikea flats get softer?

So I got some flats and while I love them in every other way...they feel a tiny bit rough. I use Ecover in my CD laundry, so I've been using a bit extra for the new flats, but I don't see much difference yet. It's only been two washes so far, so will they get softer in time, or is that their texture? Anything else I can be doing to help them? Thanks!

I've been using mine for about a year now. They are still kinda crunchy compared to the birdseye, but def softer than when they were new. I do find them very absorbent, though, and their texture doesn't seem to bother my lo.
