I too am from Brisbane!! do you sell the Nappies you make? are they all you use? I am thinking of making my own flannel inserts, any advice? I am a huge fan of bonnibuns (Qld wahm), although my baby is only 5.5 months old so I haven't had a heap of experience yet!! but they wash beautifully and wear real nice on our boy!! I have never ventures to overseas purchases for that same reason! doesn't ever seem that cost affective! mum to beautiful boy and loving cloth nappy-ing him! |

Re: Australians???
I'm happy to see this post! My husband is from Brisbane. We live in the US now but are planning to move to Brisbane this year and I was just realizing that would change what diapers I can get. Maybe I'll stock up before we move.
Are there many WAHM diaper sellers in Oz? And how is the second-hand market? |

Re: Australians???
West of Brisbane here! I have made my own & looking at buying Bamboo terry from US to make flats for this time. I agree about prices even with postage some things are cheaper & bigger range too.

I'm from Perth, and totally agree about the price of BGs here in Australia. I would buy so many more of them if it wasn't for the price and the restrictions on buying direct from the US!

Re: Australians???
Cookie Monster - We have a great WAHM market in Australia, and there is a popular FB page for second hand diapers. Just remember if you are searching we call our Diapers - nappies, or MCN (modern cloth nappies). Good luck with your move to Australia. If you want any details for the site names pm me.

Re: Australians???
There is a facebook page called 'Buy and Sell your MCNs' where people sell their stuff. I find the US market and Aus market very very different. Over here in Aus it is all sized minky nappies with embroidery/ other fancy stuff. That is very popular and print fitteds do not sell, whereas I think the us print bmaboo fitteds and wool covers are more popular.

Re: Australians???
Hi ladies,
I'm in Melbourne area and love the look of Softbums. Anyone got any ideas where I can buy them second hand/cheap over here in Oz? There are some listed on this site, but don't think anyone ships to Oz, suspect postage costs would be huge and that's the reason! Never used nappies before, first baby due in Nov..... trying to be organised!!! |
