Oooh a topsy turvy rainbow cake is a must! Some great ideas can be found at hostesswiththemostess.com She has an awesome blog too with great ideas, then you can do something similar with great bargains. Do you have a price busters or party city near you? They have some great, reasonably priced party/tea party supplies. I wonder if your local craigslist/consignment shops would have some vintage tea sets? Just need to make sure its safe and lead free.

yes i am thinking a topsy turvy huge rainbow layer cake with glitter too maybe? yes. i have been scoping out thrift stores for the tea cups...but all i can find is shot glasses, lol....wrong party

oooh, maybe you can find fun oversized hats and for an activity the kiddoes can decorate them with feathers, flowers, glitter, etc. Little finger sandwiches and flavored iced tea (e.g. peach puree, pineapple juice added, etc.)?

yeah. that would be cute! have you seen where its like the huge layer rainbow cake with the white icing....but the top is totally decorated like a woodland theme with trees, flowers, mushrooms and funky mad hatter type stuff....really cute! but i'd hate to cut it....

or make it like normal....and then cut a big wedge out of it and decorate part of the inside like mushrooms growing out of it and flowing out onto the cake platter....just an idea of mine...i havent seen pics of that anywhere...

oh. i'll go look at that link now!

once i get a few more things accumulated i'll post pics and let you all tell me any final thoughts.
