Blanket for nursing

Checking to see if anyone else does this... if anyone has any other suggestions for me, as well!!

EVERY time I nurse (public, private, middle of the night... whatever!), I use a blanket. I tuck it under my boob and baby goes on top. Otherwise, I end up with a lap full of breastmilk. This has been true for both of my babies.

Any other ideas for me? I HATE carrying around a blanket, especially since I don't actually use it to cover up (most of the time).

Thanks!

I use a cover in public (from uddercovers) and I tuck my breast pad in under my breast so if DD pulls off and I still have flow it goes into that- which she does alot. Also Uddercovers is running a promo right now- you can get one for free just pay shipping - promo code is "seven". They are so cute. I have the Elsa one and LOVE it!

Re: Blanket for nursing

I had over active letdown with my first, plus she was a spitter. I carried a prefold to tuck and it worked great to catch leaks. Super absorbant.

I tuck a burp cloth in my bra. Usually a flannel burp cloth or a thinner prefold.

This, plus a prefolds burp cloth. I have a super crazy letdown, and DS2 pulls away to take a breather because it gets going so strong, so I have to stick a cloth or pad there ASAP or it is milk-lap for mommy.

Oh, and today I got shot in the face. With my own milk. While at a restaurant. With twenty of my DH's family members. For his grandma's 80th birthday party. LOL. I swear, it was not funny then, especially when his cousin thought I was sweating!!

When DS2 was a newbie, my letdown was SUPER strong, so I would always have a prefold with me as a burpcloth/milk rag. I always tucked it under my boob to catch the waterfall that was sure to happen.
