Cloth camping success!

I just got back from a camping trip, where I used cloth 100% of the trip! It was so easy, and so nice to not have all that stinky garbage to deal with. I took our cloth wipes, which came in handy for all sorts of other uses besides wiping DD's bottom. I did take a package of disposable wipes for all the messy hands on the road, but we didn't even use 1/4 of the package. I am very happy with our first successful cloth vacation!

We are thinking about camping next month. How did you make CDing while camping work? I'd be curious to know how you did it and what kinds of diapers you used!

I packed 6 diapers for each day, plus a couple of extras. Most of what I took were AI2s, since I figured that would be pretty easy and hassle-free.

My trusty, worn to holes Dream-Eze fitteds are what I took for the nights, along with our much-loved, bullet-proof Aristocrats.

My cloth wipes are nothing special, just two layers of flannel with a squirt bottle to wet them.

I don't have a big wetbag, so I just tossed the wet diapers in plastic bags. We were only camping for 3 1/2 days, so it wasn't a big deal to me. I washed them the night we got home.

I've always been intimidated by the thought of camping with cloth diapers, but DD doesn't really do well in disposables. I decided to take the plunge, and was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was.

I camp w/ my cloth too, as long as the trip is only 3 days or so, so I don't have to wash at a laundry mat on vacation. Spending 1/2 a day on my vacation washing diapers, no thanks! If we go longer, typically I buy a pack of sposies for the first days and then switch to cloth the last 2-3 days so I can wash when I get home. I use prefolds/covers by day and pockets at night.
