Getting spots out of wool and a trim wool cover option?
If wool shouldn't be put out in the sun to sun out spots because it contributes to felting, how do you get spots out of wool diaper covers?
Are there any wool diaper covers that are very trim? I have a Little Beehinds cover and a BioBottoms wool cover (very similar to Imse Vimse IMO), but even with a thin insert, they're pretty bulky. Over a fitted, they're huge! Any suggestions? Advertisement |

Re: Getting spots out of wool and a trim wool cover option?
you can scrub it with a wool wash bar or even baby soap to get the spots out, that's what i did, although generally a good soak would also do the trick, but if i didn't want to wait for the whole thing to dry a quick spot scrub works. Wool and trim, that is the question! If your baby is tiny there aren't a ton of great options. any pull on cover that is snug fitting makes a trim-er option. Kiwi pie covers were IMO the best, most trim wool things ever. they don't make them anymore so it's very hard to find them. i'm kicking myself that i sold mine! i finally just made the switch to longies, that way you don't need to try to pry pants on over a wool cover. but be careful if you go that route, yarn can get to be even more addicting than diapers!
