Unhappy Another stinky dipey question...

I bought two dipes on FSOT and I just cannot get the smell out of them. I've washed them in HOT 9 times. The first 6 times, there were some bubbles. The 7th time there were no bubbles. The 8th time I washed them with hot water, 1oz of Sam's basic detergent (this is what I wash all my dipes in), and 1 Tbsp. baking soda. I then rinsed in cold with .5 cup vinegar and rinsed again with nothing but water. I then washed them again (9th time) in hot with just the detergent and two cold rinses. They did not smell bad after that last wash, but after I dried them in the dryer, they stunk again!

Oh... and the dipes are cotton/bamboo fitteds. I don't know the brand as there are no tags.

What else can I try???

TIA!!!

Bleach. One tablespoon in a full load on cold or warm.

Good luck.

If they stink out of the dryer I think that means you need more soap. Soap is not always the enemy. I've had the best results with dawn, no stink, no stripping and it leaves my diapers smelling extra clean. In my top loader I use around 2 tablespoons in a hot wash followed by 2 rinses.

Torch 'em.

I'm kidding! Good lord, that's a whole lot of washings! You've done bleach, 10 washes and they STILL stink? There's got to be something wrong here!

That sucks!

I thought of adding more soap, but I had to wash them tons of times just to get the soap out of them.

It's bad to use oxyclean on diaper that have been bleached.
