Why can't I get my flips to cover a snappied PF?

So I can't seem to get any cover I own to fully cover a snappied prefold at the hips? Or an sbish multi either for that matter. What am I doing wrong???? I usually use wool soakers to cover my fitted but I have been snapping my thirsties prefolds and want a trim cover during the day.
The fit is fine all over except the hips it always seems like some fabric sticks out on either side of the cover.

just tuck whats left under and pull the cover over. sometimes you have to do a little tugging. also if you roll or fold the sides of the prefold under a little as you are putting it on, it will give it a trimmer fit in the leg area.

Yes you have to lift up lo's bottom and roll or fold the pf in to make it narrower and then when you pull it up it is narrower at the hips and the Flip will cover it.

I couldn't' get the flip to work with snappied diapers until I tried that.

I also find with flips that I need to size up in the rise when snappi'ing...I use it on the smallest setting for trifolding, but the medium setting when snappi'ing.
