Please help, serious STINK issues with diapers after using Shaklee
So two weeks ago I ran out of detergent and had to use Shaklee detergent. It created a TERRIBLE stench on my diapers that I now can't get out. I am assuming it is detergent buildup? I have washed the diapers several times since in hot water. I use Tide, just because after trying EVERYTHING that is the only thing that works with my front loading HE machine.
A few notes: * I have hard water, so I can't use vinegar * My machine doesn't have a soak feature to it * I have already tried blue dawn, it didn't phase it * It isn't an ammonia smell, nor is it a barn smell that indicates bacterial buildup. It is a smell I can only describe with the word "NASTY!" The diapers LITERALLY clear a room. * as probably expected, my AIOs hold the stink the most (i.e. bumgenius AIO) * diapers are absorbing JUST fine, no repelling. Just NASTY stink I have no idea what else to do. Help! Thanks in advance! P.S. I am one of those "Use as much detergent as is indicated on the box to use for a normal load" and cannot be convinced otherwise....anything less never has worked to clean my diapers enough with my machine.

Re: Please help, serious STINK issues with diapers after using Shaklee
I totally agree that you shouldn't use less detergent! But you will need to use something else. I'm sure many will suggest Tide, and I don't have any suggestions
But I would suggest using 1/4 cup bleach and then doing a few extra rinses after.
