Re: Zofran ??? Whos taken it

I still take zofran, it works when it wants, sometimes I am still nauseous and hope ms is finishing up here soon since I am almost 14 weeks.
I have taken both the generic which is yellow and the name brand which is white.

I'm in the US.
I have the Oli... whatever generic, they are white, in a blister pack, and dissolve on your young (and taste like strawberry )

The other anti-nausea med I tried was Phenegran (sp?) and it made me fall asleep, then I woke up pissed. Like busting faces don't talk to me or I'll kill you angry. So I stopped taking it

I'm in the US. I took the dissolving tablets. They're white and in a blister pack. They really were a lifesaver for me!

I took it with both pregnancies. First it mostly helped. Second, rarely. I was sick with N/V for about 17 weeks and 20 weeks, and lost weight both times. Had to take prescription potassium because I was vomiting so much. It did help some though! If I had not gotten it so cheap with insurance the second time, I would not have taken it. GL, mama!

Edit: I am in the US and I took the kind you swallow.

I second what one PP said - the constipation was worse than the nausea. I took the kind you swallow - very small whitle pill. HTHs - GL!

I took it with my last two babies but only out of desparation! It gives me a headache and the constipation is horrible. Mine wasnt' that costly but perhaps it a difference with insurance? Hope you feel better on it, it does help!

I don't know if I'm pregnant yet, but have been taking Zofranfor extreme nausea that past 2 months. I take 1-2 4mg pills when the nausea prevents me from eating. I also have Phenergan, but only take that at night or if it gets super bad.

*I took the Odansetron ODT(dissolving) 8mg once a day. The pills were white and came in a blister pack. With DD, I took the other form, that you swallow, 2-3 times per day and those were yellow, I think.

FWIW, my family practice prescribed it with DD, since she is who delivered me.

I have taken it with my last 4 pregnancies. It really only helped the first time. It constipates me horribly. (like emergency room bad)

It actually is an anti-emetic. It shuts off the vomiting centers in your brain. So you can Still feel violently nauseas. Which most women do after the first round. There is a high failure rate with repeated use. Most women still need to take an anti-nausea pill along with it.

I have always taken 8mg 3 times a day along with phenegran. Neither did anything this time and I still deal with HG now at 20 weeks.

Benedry, or dramamine help me much more this time than RX meds go figure.
