Leaving all the milk you expressed for the day in the car overnight and finding it when you try to take dc to school. Oops. I think the phrase "don't cry over spilled milk" came from a nursing woman's dh.

I read somewhere that fresh milk can stay in a cooler bag for up to 24 hours. Maybe it can be saved?

It was HOT. It was warmer than it is when I express it. Must be the heat wave.

Ughh worst feeling in the world! My DH used to leave whole bottles of milk out when he poured DS a bottle. Made me sick when I came home and found it!

I think the worst that ever happened to me was when the tornadoes hit back in April, our freezers went out so ALL of my milk was wasted. It was about 8 hours before we could get out of our neighborhood, and by that time it had defrosted just enough that I wouldn't have dared try and refreeze it. I took what I could use before it went bad, and the rest was just wasted. I had about 800 oz. At least DS turned one in May, so it wasn't as bad as it would have been if he was little!

Oh no! We had a storm this spring too and lost power for a week. Thankfully mine stayed frozen over night in the freezer and I brought it to work and kept it in the freezer here until we got power again.

I saw a magnet that said, "Whoever coined 'no sense crying over spilled milk' hadn't pumped 6 ounces only to accidentally dump it." or something like that. Sorry it got wasted momma
