4th C-section tomorrow...

and I can't remember what I need to pack for the hospital!

The baby bag is ready to go. I know I want a few nightgowns/nursing gowns, toiletries, and something comfy to wear home...but I'm drawing a blank with what else I would need.

I remember over packing with DD (who was supposed to be a 'natural' birth other than the induction due to high BP).

But I can't remember the other 2 c-section hospital stays.

What should I be packing?!

Haven't done a c-section, but also on my packing list...

nursing pads/bras/lanolin
robe
mama cloth/sposie pads (I hate the hospital ones)
camera/batteries?
phone charger

And then I usually pack some snacks/drinks for when I get to recovery.

I loved having some nutrigrain bars and juiceboxes handy for the middle of the night snacking.

Great ideas! I have crackers in my bag. With the last 3 they wouldn't give me solid food until I passed gas.... with my last one the nurse slipped me some crackers and I was eating real food in no time!

Nursing pads! Great idea! I'll toss those in and the mama cloth! That wouldn't have been very fun!

I'll make sure DH brings my phone charger!

You could throw in a tetra pak of coconut water and some clif gels if you think you won't be allowed solids. Both are good to keep you going but liquid.

^This! I wish I'd have had a few hair ties and a real brush for recovery

I also had my husband get me lots of berries and fresh fruit (helped with PP bathroom efficiency). Come to think of it, the thing I wished for most was real food

Welcome baby Edeltraud! 27-7-2011
