I was able to do the candida diet exactly as prescribed for 7 weeks and that along with diflucan for 30 days, grapefruit seed extract and a ton of other supplements I was able to kick it in full with DS1. I'm always on the lookout though. It was maybe the worst experience of my life.

I haven't read all the replies so far...but when I get thrush I apply coconut oil to my nipples after every nursing. The thrush usually clears up in 36-48 hours. I also take GSE orally, but it doesn't work for me by itself. I also have to stay away from sugar or it comes back.

I suspect that I have thrush although DS does not show any symptoms that my DD had when we had it. That time it cleared up easily with Nystasin. You are all scaring me with needing to cut sugar and change my diet.
But now that I read about sweating and needing to air dry, I see how that could be what is causing mine.

Dealt with T for 8 mo on and off. Finally did the precrip and then was super big (and good!) about probiotics on the last day of anti's and for months following. Continued to nurse with out T again for a year &half.
