Period-type cramping at 33weeks?
For the past 4ish days I have had some period-type cramps (low, dull aches) throughout the day and at night. They are really low in my pelvis and sometimes come along with contractions I can feel on the outside - sometimes not.
I see my OB tomorrow so I'll bring it up at my appt, I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced this and if it was anything alarming? I'm drinking a lot of water and not moving around a lot, so I don't think that is the issue.

I get them at night
I am going to ask my midwife about it but so far they haven't fallen into any sort of pattern so I'm assuming it's okay. I'm 35 weeks.

Re: Period-type cramping at 33weeks?
My LO keeps using my cervix as a punching bag...ONLY when I'm trying to sleep of course!
I read that contractions happen more at night because you're not drinking fluids all night long so you get more dehydrated than you would normally be during the day. Also that the baby becomes more active when you're laying down so the movement can cause cramping/contractions as well. So hopefully that's all it is!

Re: Period-type cramping at 33weeks?
I have gotten the menstrual-like cramps w/all of my pregnancies. They're contractions (from what I've been told by various OBs).

Re: Period-type cramping at 33weeks?
When I had this at 29-30ish weeks it turned out to be a (tmi) yeast infection. So might want to rule that out.
Good luck!

Could it be the pressure from the baby pushing on your cervix? Maybe he/she is getting into position?
